The present invention provides a medicine-holding microneedle array which is produced by applying a medicine only to the tip portions of microneedles and in which the medicine is quantitatively held so as not to be peeled off by insertion. A medicine-holding microneedle array provided with: a microneedle array that comprises a microneedle substrate (4) and multiple microneedles which are arranged on the microneedle substrate (4) and the tip sections (1) of which protrude via step sections (2); and a medicine held on the tip sections (1) and the step sections (2).
