A method and User Equipment (UE) for reporting the power headroom report are disclosed in the present invention, which are applied in communication field. And the method includes the following steps of: triggering the reporting of a first power headroom report, and determining a transmission condition which satisfies the first power headroom report, wherein the transmission condition of the first power headroom report includes determining that there is uplink data channel transmission in a current transmission time interval; obtaining the first power headroom report, wherein, the first power headroom report includes a first power headroom value, and the first power headroom value includes the difference obtained from a maximum transmission power of a carrier minus a sum of a control channel transmission power of the carrier and a data channel transmission power of the carrier; and transmitting the first power headroom report. The present invention solves a problem that a base station can not consult the power headroom correctly during resources scheduling in the prior art.
