PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a theft self detection system which autonomously detects theft of its terminal and takes a countermeasure against the theft, such as inhibition of unauthorized access to important information and inhibition of information leakage, without instructions from a server.SOLUTION: A user terminal verifies a location of the terminal at its start-up, and when the terminal recognizes that the terminal exists outside of a pre-registered area, the terminal stops the start-up. When the terminal recognizes that the terminal exists in the pre-registered area, the terminal attempts to connect to an authentication server, and when it is impossible to connect to the authentication server, the terminal stops the start-up. Authentication may be performed in the terminal or the authentication server. While the terminal is being used, if the terminal detects movement of the terminal, the terminal autonomously determines that the terminal has abnormality, and takes a countermeasure against the abnormality. |
