PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, as the volume of image data transmitted and received via a memory bus 23 has increased along with improvement in image processing capability in recent years, so has load of the memory bus 23, resulting in that processing for reading out the image data stored in a frame memory 21 becomes stagnant for increased load of the memory bus 23, and smooth image generation can thereby be hindered.SOLUTION: An image display system 100 is configured in such a way that at least some area of a photographed image is stored in a frame memory 21 via a memory bus 23, and, when a display image is generated using the stored photographed image, an unused area among areas of the photographed image which is not used in the generation of the display image is not transmitted to the frame memory 21. Thus, as the unused area among areas of the photographed image which is not used in the generation of an image for display, is not transmitted to the frame memory 21 and not propagated through the memory bus 23, the load of the memory bus 23 can be reduced. |
