The present invention improves operational efficiency while also limiting radiation exposure in the diagnosis and treatment of subjects. In the present embodiment of an X-ray diagnostic device, an X-ray generation unit (15) generates X-rays. An X-ray detection unit (18) detects the X-rays generated by the X-ray generation unit (15) and transmitted through a subject. A C-shaped arm support mechanism (12) holds the X-ray generation unit (15) and the X-ray detection unit (18) so that the X-ray generation unit (15) and the X-ray detection unit (18) face each other. On the basis of the output of the X-ray detection unit (18), a display unit (32) displays X-ray images pertaining to the subject. A position identification unit (22) identifies the facial position of a user viewing the display unit (32). A movement unit (19) moves the C-shaped arm support mechanism (12) to an imaging position according to the identified facial position of the user. |
