PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a makeup support apparatus capable of displaying differences between a face image of a user and a target face image using rank values on evaluation items based on human sensibility which allows the user to intuitively recognize what level the result of makeup gets closer to the target face image.SOLUTION: The makeup support apparatus comprises: an imaging section 2 that takes a face image of a person as a makeup subject; an input section 20 that inputs target face images; a synthetic face image generation section 12 that generates plural synthetic face images in which different makeup techniques are applied to the face image of the subject person; a similarity level determination section 22 that determines the similarity level between the target face image and the plural synthetic face images; an evaluation section 40 that outputs a rank value on a predetermined evaluation item with respect to the face image of the subject person and the target face image; and a display unit 5 that displays the makeup technique applied to the synthetic face image which is determined with a higher level similarity by the similarity level determination section 22 together with a rank value.
