PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to manage data to be updated in association with execution of image processing in a reliable and inexpensive way without delaying the scheduled progress of the image processing, even when a medium of a semiconductor memory is changed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus performs image processing by using a plurality of pieces of information stored in a flash memory 1003 in an SSD 413, and acquires the block size of data that is read and written from/to a semiconductor memory (S101). The image forming apparatus then manages, of the pieces of information, pieces of application-dependent information to be updated in association with the execution of the image processing, by discretely arranging the pieces of information in a specific area secured in the SSD 413 according to the acquired block size of the flash memory 1003 in the SSD 413 (S102 to S110). |
