PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying system and method for a printing machine that insert low temperature gas into a drying machine.SOLUTION: A drying system for a printing machine has a drying machine including a heating element and a flow generator. The heating element is inside the drying machine and can heat a winding type printing medium when the winding type printing medium travels through the inside of the drying machine. The flow generator is inside the drying machine and operates so that a collision jet of gas for diverting heated air in the vicinity of the winding type printing medium is directly projected along the width of the winding type printing medium. The gas is cooler than the heated air.
