PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide indoor units into groups for each different air conditioning space on a centralized control equipment side with high reliability, in an air conditioner having a plurality of indoor units.SOLUTION: When dividing a plurality of indoor units 20 (20A to 20J) into groups for each of partitioned rooms F1, F2 and F3, after turning each indoor unit 20 into a thermo-off stand-by state, one unit, for example an indoor unit 20A, designated from centralized control equipment 10 is made to start an operation in an operation mode of cooling or heating, and a room temperature in the room F1 in which the designated indoor unit 20A exists is allowed to change. Then, the indoor units 20B and 20F in the room F1 which detected the room temperature change are made to transmit the address of its own unit to the centralized control equipment 10. Thus, the centralized control equipment 10 side recognizes that the indoor units 20A, 20B and 20F are arranged in the same room F1, and registers these indoor units as one group. |
