The arrangement has a module (3) which is provided for varying the torsional stiffness and for simulating damping properties of output drive train of vehicle. The module is provided with sample-side connector (4) for connection to the gear box output and an output-side connector (5) for connection to a vehicle inertia simulating load unit (6). The gear stages (8,9) are provided in the sample-side and the output side of the module for varying the torsional stiffness. The intended gear stages are coupled to one another through a torque transmitting device (10).
