Provided are a method and an apparatus for TCP communication in a wireless communication system. A network node comprises: receiving a TCP keep-alive packet from other node which establishes a TCP connection with a terminal; transmitting an ACK packet to the other node in response to the TCP keep-alive packet if the terminal is in an idle mode; and transmitting indication information indicating that the terminal receives the TCP keep-alive packet. The indication information includes an indicator of the keep-alive packet, an IP address of the other node, and a destination TCP port number.
