PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction apparatus that can satisfactorily remove chips in a machining area of a machine tool, and further can remove mist and dust.SOLUTION: A suction apparatus 30 relating to the present invention includes: a dust collector 31 attached to a machine tool 1 or disposed around the machine tool 1; suction piping 32 with one end connected to the dust collector 31; a chip suction pipe unit 33 including at least one configuration of a configuration in which one end is connected to a part different from an opening part of a suction path formed inside a main spindle so as to be opened in the tool attachment unit of the main spindle or a configuration in which one end is disposed so as to be opened in the periphery of the tool attachment unit of the main spindle, and having the other end connected to the other end of the suction piping 32 and sucking the chips generated by the machining operation of a tool mounted in the main spindle; and an atmosphere suction pipe part 50 having one end connected to the chip suction pipe unit 33 and the other end opened in a machining area 7. |
