PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception device which estimates parameters such as an FFT size from an optical OFDM signal.SOLUTION: A transmission device 100 generates an OFDM signal by adding two training symbols to a series of transmission signals, modulates light from a light source, and outputs an optical OFDM signal. A reception device 150 receives the optical OFDM signal, converts the received optical OFDM signal into an OFDM signal, and executes correlative calculation using a training symbol stored in the reception device 150. In particular, the reception device 150 estimates an FFT size on the basis of a time length of one symbol of an OFDM signal calculated from timing of two correlative peaks obtained by the correlation process and a sampling rate of a digital-analogue converter included in the signal generation part and known to the reception device 150.
