摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new improved event processing method for utilizing list mode data for efficiently optimizing image quality.SOLUTION: An image diagnostic device includes a detector element 16 for detectingγrays showing a nuclear decay event. A pair ofγrays to be simultaneously detected regulates lines of response (LOR), and the lines of response (LOR) are collected, time-stamped, and compiled to a list mode. In a tissue perfusion inspection, it is advantageous to use data for simultaneously maximizing contrast and a signal-to-noise ratio in a reconstructed image. An event in an adjustable time window 33 is reconstructed by using the list mode data, and the reconstructed image is analyzed for determining a performance index based on the contrast and signal-to-noise characteristics of the image. An image with an optimal performance index can be obtained by repeatedly adjusting the time window, extending its starting point 36 by tracing time back, and repeating the steps of reconstruction, analysis, and adjustment.</p>
