PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly knead unvulcanized rubber almost without requiring cleaning work and maintenance work. ! SOLUTION: Unvulcanized rubber M formed in a belt shape by kneading rollers 25, 26 is led to an inversion roller 41 separated from the kneading rollers 25, 26 through air to be wound around the inversion roller 41, and then led to the kneading rollers 25, 26 through air to be returned to them, whereby the unvulcanized rubber M is repeatedly kneaded while being circulated. Consequently, most small rubber pieces dropping out from the belt-shaped rubber 35 fall down and only a part of them adhere to the inversion roller 41, whereby cleaning work for the inversion roller 41 is completely eliminated or is not almost required. Since the inversion roller 41 is used without using a belt conveyor, maintenance work for preventing bad influence due to meandering of the conveyor is not also required to improve working efficiency. !
