<p>An improved oil well sucker rod shock absorber assembly having a cylindrical outer casing, a spring disposed therewithin, a plurality of apertures extending through the casing and allowing fluid communication with upwardly extending slidably disposed threadedly connected piston plunger rod device. Unwanted play and travel and its associated wear can be minimized by force dissipation through the associated spring within the casing. This improvement provides a stronger and more reliable connection between the plunger rod and the piston plunger connected thereto providing better load distribution and a more secure connection.</p> |
