Abstract A mounting assembly for mounting a shaft or axle to a support frame which has opening therein through which an end portion of the shaft projects and a cover member which is positioned over the opening and which defines a slot with the support frame which can receive a retaining pin, typically an R-pin, which locates within a transverse hole in the end portion of the shaft or axle to hold the shaft or axle to the support frame. The cover member has an aperture aligned with the opening in the frame member which is of substantially the same size as the shaft or axle.
