PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine environmental condition to properly correct a transfer bias.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: first environment detection means (first sensor) for detecting environmental condition in a device body; second environment detection means (second sensor) arranged in a position different from the first sensor; and recording means for recording a result detected by the second sensor. When power is ON, the image forming apparatus determines whether to execute detection by use of the second sensor on the basis of a detection result of the first sensor, updates a control value B for transfer current control to the detection result (temperature T2) of the second sensor when the detection is executed, and sets a transfer current value to be applied to transfer means on the basis of the updated control value B (temperature T2) or the previous control value B. |
