PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire which can, while suppressing use of oil resources as much as possible, upgrade compatibility of a microfibrillated vegetable fiber and a rubber component by a simple technique and can improve fuel efficiency, fracture characteristics, and steering stability in a balanced manner; and to provide a pneumatic tire produced using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: Provided is a rubber composition for tire, comprising a rubber component, a microfibrillated vegetable fiber, and a terpene-based resin. The rubber component preferably contains at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a natural rubber, a modified natural rubber, a synthetic rubber, and a modified synthetic rubber. The microfibrillated fiber is preferably a cellulose microfibril. |
