PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for searching for a similar route in addition to the optimal route from the current position to a destination in a route search device and route guidance system.SOLUTION: The route search device searches for the optimal route from the current position to a destination and a similar route as a cumulative value of link costs lower than a value obtained by adding an allowance cost to a cumulative value of link costs in the optimal route, of a plurality of routes from the current position to the destination. Then, the route search device presents the similar route as a route equivalent to the optimal route to a user of a route guidance device.
