PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can detect positions of a tip image and a rear end image of a manuscript sheet on a read image without drawing an identification image on an opposing member such as a manuscript pressing plate, and a technique which can suppress the positions of the tip image and the rear end image of the manuscript sheet from being detected at the erroneous positions in a configuration in which the identification image is drawn to the opposing member.SOLUTION: When at least one of conditions that the number of edge pixels detected in edge detection processing is changed in each read image data, and the image concentration acquired in concentration acquisition processing is changed in each read image data, a scanner 1 determines the position on the read image which satisfies at least one condition as the position of the edge of the manuscript sheet in the conveyance direction of a conveyance section. |
