The device (100) has a lance-shaped jet nozzle (40) for insertion into holes, particularly control- and inspection openings. The jet nozzle comprises an introduction stop (44), which limits the depth of insertion of the jet nozzle into the opening, where the insertion stop is rotatably mounted with respect to the jet nozzle. The introduction stop is axially movable with respect to the jet nozzle. A twist element is arranged to the introduction stop, and is azimuthally designed rotatable relative to the introduction stop. An independent claim is included for a method for jet cleaning of a unit, particularly of turbines and gas turbine jet engines.
