PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometer which can measure a high contrast eyesight and a low contrast eyesight without preparing two kinds of targets with different contrast ratios.SOLUTION: An optometer includes: a target presenting optical system which presents some of a plurality of targets to a subject's eye according to eyesight to be measured; and a visible light source for irradiating illumination light to the target presented to the subject's eye by the target presenting optical system. The optometer includes a control part for executing the processing S2 of switching the quantity of illumination light irradiated from the visible light source to the target between a predetermined first quantity of light and a second quantity of light reduced lower than the first quantity of light and the processing S3 of switching the target presented to the subject's eye when the quantity of light of illumination light irradiated from the visible light source to the target is switched from the first quantity of light to the second quantity of light. |
