PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed control method of a heat roller capable of reducing noise generation. ! SOLUTION: A decoloring device includes: a heat roller; a heat source; a press roller; and a control unit. The heat roller heats a sheet on which an image is formed with a material the color of which can be erased while conveying the same. The heat source heats the heat roller. The press roller comes in pressure-contact with the heat roller. While performing a decoloring processing with the heat roller, the control unit controls the heat roller to rotate at a first rotation speed and the heat source to heat the heat roller. Before starting the decoloring processing, the control unit controls the heat roller to rotate at a second rotation speed slower than the first rotation speed and the heat source to heat the heat roller.
