PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar for a barbell which allows safe weight training. ! SOLUTION: Connecting parts 2 having a hinge structure are provided on both ends of a linear bar 1 serving as a place held by a user at the time of weight training, and rods 3 are connected to the connecting parts 2, respectively. A weight plate mounting part 4 is provided at the end (lower end) of the rod 3 on the side opposite to the connecting part 2. The lower end surface of the weight plate mounting part 4 is parallel to a floor surface, so that the barbell stands by itself when put on the floor surface. Consequently, even in the case when the barbell cannot be lifted due to an overload at the time of weight training and the barbell falls down, the bar is stopped at a position away from the floor surface to prevent the body of a user from being excessively pressed, whereby safety can be ensured. !
