An electrostatic coupled noncontact power supply device according to the present invention comprises a power supplying electrode electrically insulated from and arranged on a fixing section that is formed with a conductive material and grounded; a high-frequency power supply circuit for supplying the power supply electrode with high-frequency power; a power receiving electrode facing the power supplying electrode, arranged at a distance therefrom on a movable section movably mounted on the fixing section and receiving high-frequency power contactlessly; and a power receiving circuit for converting the high-frequency power received by the power receiving electrode and supplying an electrical load on the movable section with the converted power. An insulated support formed with an electrically insulating material and supporting the power supplying electrode is arranged on a portion of an electrostatic coupling region where parasitic electrostatic capacitance is formed between the fixing section and the power supplying electrode, while the remaining portion of the electrostatic coupling region is left as a space. Thereby, the power supply efficiency of noncontact power supply can be improved more than a conventional device, and a material cost can be reduced by decreasing the usage of electrically insulating material. |
