The vortex generator (10) has a base plate (12) with an upper side and a wing (14) with side surfaces (16,16'), where the wing is arranged transverse to the base plate at the upper side. The base plate and the wing are formed in a single-piece manner. Each side surface of the wing has a transition area (18,18'), in which the side surfaces pass over in an upper surface (20) at the supper side of the base plate in an edge-free manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a vortex generator; and (2) an injection mold for a vortex generator of a rotor blade of a wind turbine.
