PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen ventilating device capable of preventing a ventilation volume from becoming insufficient and accurately determining whether a cooking device is operating or not. SOLUTION: When a temperature T detected by a temperature sensor 16 rises from a temperature lower than an operation start determination temperature T1 to the operation start determination temperature T1 or higher, the kitchen ventilating device determines that a cooking device positioned below is in operation. When a temperature T detected by the temperature sensor 16 lowers from a temperature equal to or higher than the operation start determination temperature T1 to a temperature obtained by deducting an operation completion determination temperature differenceΔT from the operation start determination temperature T1, the kitchen ventilating device determines that the operation of the cooking device 2 positioned below is stopped.
