Class 12(1) In a textile spinning or preparing machine having drafting means, a bearing arrangement for a roller or shaft 1 which is of substantially the same diameter throughout comprises at least two rolling bodies 3 on which the shaft 1 rests. The rolling bodies 3 are mounted on pins 4 in a carrier 8 and may comprise ball, or spherical roller, or needle bearings 5 surrounded by a leather or rubber cover 7. The shaft 1 may be disposed in a slot in the carrier 8, or it may lie wholly outside a carrier 11 as shown in Fig. 5. The fluted roller 1 has a plain surface 2 in way of the rolling bodies 3. The axles 4 contain lubricating passages 6. An arrangement of two rollers 14, 15 supported by three rolling bodies 16, 17 and 18 is shown in Fig. 6. |
