A portable electronic Braille reader comprising a capacitive screen to which information is inputted through an input port or any other appropriate means, said information being decoded and encoded by a microprocessor to convert it into Braille characters; a thimble that includes elements capable of generating a stimulus in the finger of the user so the user recognizes the characters represented on the screen, and a line guide to ensure that the thimble slides in the correct direction and paths during reading.
