Method for configuring a lighting system

The method involves assigning addresses to lighting fixtures (L1-Ln) that are connected to a control line (12), and defining or selecting a predefined lighting group in a control device (11). One of the lighting fixtures is selected through switching of the lighting fixture to a predetermined operating condition by using selection functions of a wireless push button (22), where the operating condition is different from another lighting fixture. The address of the selected lighting fixture is added to the lighting group by using an acknowledgment function.
