<p>In a method for calibrating a surroundings sensor for sensory detection of the surroundings of a vehicle, sensor data which are generated with the aid of the surroundings sensor and which correspond to the vehicle surroundings are transmitted to a server situated externally from the vehicle, and the server transmits calibration data generated based on the sensor data and on reference sensor data which correspond to the reference vehicle surroundings associated with the vehicle surroundings to the surroundings sensor. In the case of an unsuccessful sensor calibration, an error signal is transmitted to a control unit which subsequently controls a vehicle component.</p> |
