A preservative composition for industrial uses, comprising 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 1,2-benzoisothiazolin-3-one, having a pH value ranging from 7 to 11, and further comprising at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hydrogen peroxide, a metal salt of hydrogen peroxide, a peroxo acid and a metal salt of a peroxo acid. The composition has excellent long-term stability. |
