FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in machining materials by drill head with axial oscillation generator. This head comprises a chuck to couple the head with motor that has lengthwise axis aligned with that of said motor, holder, elastostrained holder suspension means and means to direct the holder in said chuck in its axis. Head chuck is equipped with controlled generator of reciprocation along the chuck lengthwise axis fitted between the holder and the chuck. Holder and generator are connected by lengthwise connector to damp impacts at holder and to transmit reciprocation.EFFECT: efficient removal of chips from machining zone.6 cl, 5 dwg
