Validation of a frequency channel in a point-to-point microwave radio system

A method for validating a frequency channel in a point-to-point microwave radio system (100) comprising a first fixed radio station (1) at a first site (A) and a second fixed radio station (4) at a second site (B) distant from the first site, the method comprising:
activating a radio transmitter of the first radio station to emit a radio signal in a frequency channel to be validated,
measuring a received signal level in the frequency channel to be validated with a radio receiver of the second radio station,
comparing the measured received signal level to an expected received signal level,
setting a validation status of the frequency channel as a function of the signal level comparison result.
