PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel support device for notifying the possibility of causing failure to a periphery monitoring device. SOLUTION: Acceleration detected by each acceleration sensor is obtained (S110), and external force applied to one's own vehicle and a collision part are estimated based on the acceleration (S120). As a result of collating the estimated collision part with arrangement reference data stored in a storage part (S140), when the arrangement reference data expresses the fact of arranging any one of the periphery monitoring devices in an area coincident with the collision part (S150: YES), abnormal information of expressing the fact of having the possibility of causing failure in the periphery monitoring device when the external force is applied to the one's own vehicle, is notified from a notifying device (S160). Further, the arrangement reference data means preregulated data on the area (that is, a sensor position) on the one's own vehicle in which each periphery monitoring device is positioned.
