PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a player to continue playing a game without suspending the operation of a game machine even when a random number generating circuit breaks down. SOLUTION: The game machine is equipped with first and second random number generating means for updating random number values every prescribed period of time, an updating abnormality detecting means for detecting whether an abnormality occurs or not in updating the random number value in the first random number generating means, an updating abnormality information storage means for storing updating abnormality information indicating the occurrence of the abnormality in updating in the first random number generating means, a random number value acquisition means for acquiring the random number value from the first random number generating means when the generation of prescribed random number acquisition conditions is detected by an acquisition condition detecting means, and a game result determining means for executing determination processing related to the game by determining the random number value acquired by the random number value acquisition means. Upon the detection of the generation of the prescribed random number acquisition conditions by the acquisition condition detecting means, the random number value acquisition means acquires a random number value from the second random number generating means when the updating abnormality information of the first random number generating means is stored in the updating abnormality information storage means.
