PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display technique to become a help of a user for acquiring a sense of locality. SOLUTION: This sense-of-locality map display controller selects a place and a road registered as drawing objects out of places and roads, and displays them on an image display device. This map display controller: registers the place as a new drawing object place (a step 110); acquires an additional route, with defining each of the plurality of places already registered as the drawing objects as a counter place, for connecting the new drawing object place to the counter place (a step 120); and additionally registers the road in the acquired additional route as the new drawing object road (a step 140).
