摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material for sensor use which has a small variation in electric resistance due to temperature and is used for a sensor capable of detecting a deformation and a load of a member and a part, and to provide a deformation sensor which is improved in reliability by using the composite material for sensor use. SOLUTION: The composite material for sensor-use is composed of a thermoplastic resin with a linear expansion coefficient of 20×10<SP>-5</SP>/°C or less and spherical conductive fillers mixed in the thermoplastic resin at a high filling rate in an approximately single-particle state, and can be deformed elastically. The electric resistance of the composite material increases along with the increase of its elastic deformation. The deformation sensor 2 is made up of a sensor body 21 made of the composite material, electrodes A, B which are connected to the sensor body 21 and can output the electric resistance, and restricting members 200, 201 for restricting the elastic deformation of at least a portion of the sensor body 21.
