An attachment method for attaching a piece of plant machinery such as a mini-excavator to mount, for example a mount on a transporter or trailer 1. The piece of plant machinery has a drive portion such as wheels or tracks which is in contact with and moved over a surface 3 of the mounting apparatus. The method including bringing at least part of the drive apparatus under part of the mount, which mat take the form of cowling 110 so the drive portion of the plant machinery is in cooperative engagement with the mount. Preferably the cowling 110 comprises a part 112 movable between a loading position in which the movement of the plant machinery is uninhibited and a loaded position to cooperate with the plant machinery and contribute to attaching the machinery to the mount, this movable part may be I the form of a loading ramp. |
