an interpolation unit configured to generate, from an input image, an interpolation image having a resolution higher than a resolution of the input image; a feature value obtainment unit configured to obtain a feature value from the input image; a correction unit configured to correct an edge of the interpolation image using the feature value so as to perform a first correction; and a re-correction unit configured to correct again the interpolation image corrected by the correction unit using the feature value so as to perform a second correction.
