A power generating unit (10) comprises a gas turbine (11) having an air suction section (12), a compressor (13), at least one combustor (14, 16), and at least one turbine (15, 17), and further comprises a gas cooling type power generator (18) with a power generator cooling system (20) which is driven by the gas turbine (11) and includes at least one cooler. Cooling water is flown through at least one cooler, and the cooler removes heat from a power generator. More flexible motion of the unit can be performed by connecting the power generator cooling system (20) to an air suction heat exchanger (30) arranged in the air suction section (12) of the gas turbine (11) to transmit the heat from the cooling water which is flown through the power generator cooling system (20) to air which is flown through the air suction section (12). |
