The present invention relates to an algae growth inhibitor suppressing the growth of algae in a water supply source and an aquarium and capable of removing substances causing bad smell generated by the algae using an UV LED kit. The algae growth inhibitor comprises an UV LED radiating UV rays; a packaging member penetrating the UV rays and preventing water for the UV LED; a supporting member arranging a plurality of UV LED kits composed of the UV LED and the packaging member in a fixed form and comprising an opening where algae passes through a plurality of UV LED kits, wherein at least parts of algae are photolyzed by a photocatalyst activated by UV of the UV LED.
