The present invention relates to a drying system for a high water content material using an organic Rankine cycle and a drying method using the drying system, and, more specifically, to an apparatus for drying the high water content material in a direct contact style using combustion exhaust gas. A turbine for generating electric power using the organic Rankine cycle is installed on the rear end of the apparatus. Water vapor condensed in a gasifier of the Rankine cycle is flowed into a combustion device to be recycled as condensate water, at the same time utilizing cooled exhaust gas in place of existing air for dilution. Thereby, the fuel consumption of the combustion device can be reduced, thus remarkably decreasing stench and the loads of a noxious gas treatment apparatus. |
