摘要 Various embodiments of a biological interface system and related methods are disclosed. The system may include a sensor having a plurality of electrodes for detecting multicellular signals emanating from one or more living cells of a patient, and a processing unit configured to receive the multicellular signals from the sensor and process the multicellular signals to produce a processed signal. The processing unit may be configured to transmit the processed signal to a controlled device that is configured to receive the processed signal. The system may also include a patient training apparatus configured to receive a patient training signal that causes the patient training apparatus to controllably move one or more joints of the patient. The system may be configured to perform an integrated patient training routine to produce the patient training signal, to store a set of multicellular signal data detected during a movement of the one or more joints, and to correlate the set of multicellular signal data to a second set of data related to the movement of the one or more joints.

A biological interface system comprising: a sensor comprising a plurality of electrodes for detecting multicellular signals emanating from living cells of a patient; a processing unit configured to receive the multicellular signals from the sensor; a patient training apparatus configured to controllably move one or more joints of the patient in response to a patient training signal provided by the processing unit, wherein the processing unit is configured to perform an integrated patient training routine including: providing a time varying stimulus to the patient in the form of a patient training signal,storing a set of multicellular signal data detected during movement of the one or more joints by the patient training apparatus and detected while providing a set of states of the time varying stimulus, andcorrelating the set of multicellular signal data to a second set of data related to the movement of the one or more joints, and wherein, after completion of the patient training routine, the processing unit is configured to process multicellular signals from the sensor to produce a processed signal for control of a controlled device, the processing based, at least in part, on the correlation of the set of multicellular signal data, stored during the patient training routine, and the second set of data.
