1. A moving picture encoding method comprising computer executable steps performed by a processor of a video encoder to implement:
generating a stereo-view pair of first and second pictures; setting an output timing for display to each of the first and second pictures, wherein the output timing for display of the first picture is different from the output timing for display of the second picture; encoding the first picture, together with its output timing, and the second picture, together with its output timing, to generate coded picture data; and adding, to the coded picture data, stereo information indicating that the coded picture data includes stereo-view pictures, wherein the stereo information comprises output timing information identifying one of the first and second pictures so that the first picture and the second picture, after decoded, are to be both outputted at the output timing for display of a picture identified by the output timing information, without regard to the output timing for display of the picture not identified by the output timing information, so as to output the first and second pictures simultaneously for stereo-view.
