The invention relates to a magnetic holder (100) for holding an object (190) such as a smartphone (190). The magnetic holder (100) comprising a first holder part (210) and a second holder part (220) capable of being attached to each other by magnetic attraction, involving the use of a moveable magnetic organ. According to the invention, the second holder part (220) that may be mounted to for example a wall (195) has a first surface (221) that comprises a first contact area and a second contact area for contacting a first face (211) of the first holder part (210).
