A data re-transmission control method in a wireless communication system is provided to improve the data transmission efficiency in a data re-transmission process in a wireless communication system. A data re-transmission control method in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: transmitting not a re-transmission packet but a new transmission packet to a mobile station in response to a non-acknowledgement signal transmitted from the mobile station(S64); transmitting cause indication information, which indicates the cause for starting the transmission of new transmission packet, to the mobile station(S67). Because an acknowledgement signal is received from the mobile station in response to the packet transmitted to the mobile station, the transmission of the new transmission packet is started. |
