Disclosed are a film detaching apparatus and a film detaching method for a flat display device. The film detaching apparatus for a flat display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a substrate supply portion forming a supply position for putting a film attached substrate of which both sides are assembled with a donor film and a back film, respectively; a substrate discharge portion disposed at an opposite side to the substrate supply portion and having a discharge position for discharging the substrate from which the donor film and the back film are detached; and a film detaching portion disposed between the substrate supply portion and the substrate discharge portion and detaches the donor film and the back film from the film attached substrate after standing the film up in a vertical direction, which is attached substrate supplied in a horizontal direction from the substrate supply portion and tilting the film. |
