The objective of the present invention is to provide a color conversion device, a display device, an electronic apparatus, and a method for color conversion capable of suppressing the display quality deterioration due to reduction in saturation of an image. A first color conversion circuit (23A) performs a first color conversion of multiplying the RGB data received from a linear conversion circuit (22) by a predetermined matrix, thereby deriving a defined color gamut determination data. An out-of-gamut correction circuit (23B) performs the processing of the out-of-gamut correction with respect to defined color gamut determination data when the color specified by the input signals is outside the defined color gamut based on the defined color gamut determination data. A second color conversion circuit (23C) performs the second color conversion of multiplying the correction data by an inverse matrix of the matrix to derive in-defined-gamut data. |
